Go into the bios and under one of the sections it will give you the opportunity to use onboard graffics or PCIe and you will set from there.

If you installed the motherboard drivers correctly it should automatically pick up the on board Graphics.
First thing I would do is drop the bios battery out for 30 seconds
    Wrkngman is not wrong completely.
You may still have to go into bios and set which Graphics controller to use as primary boot device.

Your best option is to reset the bios (setup). Look on the board between the pci-x slots and you will see a small coin sized battery. Carefully remove it and leave it out for 5 minutes before replacing the battery and that should reset it. If it doesn' work see if there is a cmos reset jumper on the board and they usually have 3 pins with a jumper on 2. Simply reverse the jumper and hit power button and then put it back where it was and try to start again..

Here is the problem and if that does not work it could be either the APU or the board as the APU does have onboard graphics. But one or the other would be bad and it usually is the board. Do you remember having any issues installing the APU(is not CPYu because has onboard graphics chip)?
Reason I ask is if you did then pins are bent on one or the other and that takes a very good magnifying glass to see. I just came from a war with my distributor who claimed I bent the pins on the board saddle. Well not so as I noticed the bag was not taped on the mobo when I opened it meaning someone else had tries to use it before me so I they gave me another one.
