    Hi Bob.
    If that doesn't fix your issue, then I am thinking you have bent pins on the Motherboard, by incorrect seating of the CPU.
    The CPU pins on the 6th generation Motherboards as a rule have the pins on the Motherboard instead of the CPU.
    They are hair fine and so easy to damage. If this is the case best let a Technician or Computer shop fit the CPU to the Motherboard for you, and the cooler as well. If the pins are badly damaged you will need a new motherboard possibly.
    Only can tell with a magnifying glass looking at the rows of pins from both directions. You can't see with the naked eye.
    I have a feeling this is your problem if cables don't fix.
