I have a program on my computer that brought to my attention of hackers. I have logged in and saw two people logged in on my account. I have called the police with this as well as bright house and got nowhere. I need to find out who was the person(s) hacking my account.

I do have their IP and MAC addresses so I can have help since the police are not doing anything to help.

    Hi and welcome to CHF.
Is any part of your network or internet connection wireless? If so is it secured?
If yes and then no, that is why you find people using your connections.

Have a look here at this article, will save me a lot of writing.

If no wireless is involved and all is hard wired, your computer or computers may well have malware allowing hackers access, if that is the case I suggest posting in our malware removal section.

do not bother with trying to find who is accessing your system, if it is down to wireless insecurity, it may not even be their fault, if it is through malware, they could be anywhere in the world and totally untraceable.

To add to Nev's post, since you have the MAC address, block it with your router.

To add to the above posts, may I suggest you do a Shields Up test of your computer by Gibsons Research to identify any open ports & if your router is secure, etc. This site is safe & reputable and I do a Shields Up test from time to time.
