Need help with FireFox on new windows 7

I just had everything transferred over from my old XP computer to my new Windows 7 computer, my windows 7 had IE installed on it but I use FireFox a lot. I downloaded the newest version of FireFox and can't get anything to work on it. It opens a homepage of Bing Search, I tried to change my homepage to Yahoo but it keeps opening as Bing Search. I can't get into any of my accounts on FireFox, bank accounts, credit cards, etc, I keep getting a message saying a security error has occurred, is there something I have to change in my settings? I looked online and it tells me to go to my tools, I can't find tools on my windows 7. On my old Xp computer there use to be a blue bar on top of my screen that had, File, Edit, Bookmark, View, History, and Help on it, it isn't on top of any of my homepages, IE or FireFox. Is this blue top bar something I need to download too? I'm new at windows 7 and still trying to figure out where everything is, any help would be great! Thanks...

 

I forgot to tell you, I can log into any of my accounts on IE with no problems, it even let me change my homepage to yahoo, FireFox won't let me change anything.

 

I downloaded Firefox from your link, everything works and it let me set my homepage to yahoo. I still can't get into my online banking, still showing a security error logging in. I called my bank and they told me to put their address URL into my trusted sites but it still won't let me log in, I can log in on IE but not on Firefox, any ideas on what else I can try? Thanks for all your help..

 

Firefox needs its own Java and Adobe Flash Player both of which are used on almost every banking site and are not native to Firefox but are native to IE.

 

I looked in my programs and I see two Adobe Flash Players installed. Adobe Flash Player 17 Active X and Adobe Flash Player 17 NPAPI, don't know why I have two of them. Do I have to download a Java, I don't see anything in my programs that has the word Java in it.

 

Ok downloaded java, I still can't log into my online banking. I'll have to call my bank again and see if I need to do something else. I have another question if you don't mind, in the picture below I think this is what you call a top toolbar, the very top one. I use to have this top bar on my old XP with the File, Edit, View, History, Bookmark, Tools, and Help on it, in my windows 7 I don't have it, either on IE or Firefox. Is this something I would have to download, does it look familiar to you? Would you know how I could get that top bar on my computer again?

 

OK one thing Tony failed to say is you have to install java to Firefox so that means you had to download it using Firefox just to be clear. Same is true for Adobe Flash Player that they are there in Windows Control Panel doesn't mean anything as you have to load them into FF. The same is true for Adobe Flash player means you have to download them and install into Flash Player not Windows.
