Need help downloading a new Jasc Paint Shop Pro

I just had everything from my old windows XP computer transferred to my new windows 7 computer, a few programs did not transfer. I had Jasc Paint Shop Pro on my old XP, it was very easy to use and I know how everything worked on it. I can't seen to find a download for it, can you help me to find another Jasc Paint Shop Pro that is close to the one I had? I basically used it for cropping, resizing pictures, photo color fix, etc. What would be a good Paint Shop to download and not that hard to re-learn? Also what would be a safe download site for it. Thanks....

 

I tried your link, wouldn't let me download it, to old. What would be next good paint shop that will let me crop, resize, and adjust color? I know I'm probably going to have to go to a newer version, just something simple, not to complicated.

I came up withg file not found for Cindy's link also.
I think that Jasp program was a discontinued Dell program which is why you cannot find it.

 

Another easy to use program for more complicated tasks is Gimp which is also free:
http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
This will do most things that an $800 version of Adobe Photoshop does.

 

I'll give them a try, if it's not something I want I can always uninstall them, lol. I know I won't find the same thing I had but if I can get something close I'll be happy. There are just so many paint shops to download from, Jasc Paint Shop 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, or Paint Shop Pro X6, 7, 9, and something called Corel Paint Shop, I have no idea what any of those Paint shops will do. Like I said I just like to use it to edit photos, maybe put different heads or bodies on my kids pictures and post them to facebook, lol. Just looking for something to have fun with and edit my photos, I'll let you know on your links, thanks....

Have to disagree re Gimp, Rich.
Requires a large learning curve to use to it's full potential.
Been there, done that.

 

Somewhat true Dougie but not when you compare it to Photoshop and my Iview will do all the things mentioned but will not move a head to another body.

 

I agree too about Gimp, and what seems worse about it is that nothing seems to work in similar fashion to other photo and graphics programs.

However for simple editing stuff, Irfanview is maybe good enough and simple to learn, though don't expect it to do complex things.

 

I am right into Graphic editing as Nev knows. All these freebie programs all lack finer editing options and only give you basic editing. All fall short for the serious Graphic editor. Like anything, you pay peanuts you get monkeys.

 

We both are Dougie, and fully agree with you. For a beginner who wants to get into doing more complex stuff without spending too much, you can't beat Photoshop elements. It has most of the main things required that the full Photoshop has, yet a much cheaper way into the hobby and it's amazing the things you can do with so much ease. Elements is now at version 13, however there hasn't been much change since version 11 (Which I have) so a look round the software dealers might get you a version cheaper than the current one.

You are very experienced, Nev and a good imagination as well.
If your not a professional editor then as Nev says Photoshop Elements has everything you need to do great edits.
Photoshop Elements 11 has all tools you need now including the content aware healing brush which is a must.
Also if you select the help option it will guide you through every step of the most common edits.
I bought Photoshop CS6 extended but prefer Photoshop Elements as it's far easier to use.

 

I would agree that Photoshop Elements is way easier to use than Gimp and certainly Photoshop.
