We had a nasty storm, too. Except is was very cold, and left seven or more inches of snow. My driveway is about 150 feet long, at least 10 feet wide and quite a lot of shoveling needed. Back to it tomorrow!!

Thanks a lot for sending it north. Now I know who to blame. As of yesterday and even this morning I was told 2 to 4 inches. Two to four inches, "I laugh at you with scorn, Ha Ha!" Oh damn we have over a foot already and it won't be stoppling until tomorrow. I may have been too quick with the "Ha Ha!"

TIme to tie a flag stick around Mokey so I don't lose her.

This is why it annoys me when namby pamby Brits complain about "Heavy Snow" we don't know what heavy snow is and if we did get it the country would have to declare a state of emergency :snckr:

Actually the State of New Jersey did declare a state of emergency but I really have no idea what that means. I guess it is designed to keep people off the roads so they can be cleared. At least we have the equipment to do it. I just think that this one was not expected to be so severe until only hours before,

I needed a few things and almost waited until the afternoon to get them because I only expected a few inches which really does not stop anything. Fortunately I went out in the morning anyhow. I have seen some big storms and this was not the biggest but the speed at which it dropped this much snow was pretty amazing along with the fact that it met the criteria of a true blizzard. It was total white out for a while.

Its true about us brits, we get a bit of snow and the country grinds to a halt lol

shocking really, they admited selling of their snow ploughs then retracted their statement. they even purchased cheap salt to grit the roads which turned out to be sand.

    laughing stock :snckr:

    Gunner,
Here, on the other side of the mountain, snow is pretty well under control. Today I finished shoveling my drive; I've worked on it every day since and including Christmas. The steep part of our drive is almost totally in the shade. :(

The photos are great, Gunner! Only wish we had some of that magical white stuff here - I used to kid that Mother Nature hit the bottle now and then as she's got the weather ever so mixed up lately - but after living with constant rain over the past two week and no snow on Christmas, I've decided she's gone off on a full drunk!!! :snckr:

Careful on your steep drive, Klickkatt - unless you plan on sledding on the ice, hope you have lots of grit on hand.

Happy New Years to both of you!!
