MY PC START HANGED

    hello everyone. my pc start hanging i dont know why? plz help i am not master in pc. i use win 7 32-bit and no antivirus i yet installed. i reinstalled win last week

    Hi and welcome to CHF :)

    You re-installed Win 7 about a week ago.
    1. Did it run OK then ?

    2. If it did - switch on > constantly tap F8 about once per second > select "Last Known Good Configuration" from the list of options.

    3. If that doesn't work try "Safe Mode" from the same list.

    4. Is this a laptop or desktop machine ?

    To add one point to Ken's advice, if you have a retail copy of Windows 7, boot to the DVD and select to repair. Then select Startup Repair. This can often take two attempts to get a good boot. I would try this between Ken's steps 2&3.

    You are simply asking for trouble venturing on line with no AV or firewall installed.

    I am assuming that rana g has had a problem since re-installing and cannot install an AV yet.
    Hence my first question in post #2

    Until they reply to jay and myself we will not know.
