I have MS Office Home and Student 2007 on my XP desktop and also a Vista laptop. I want to replace the Vista laptop with a Windows 7 one. However, will Office Home and Student 2007 be okay with Windows 7 or will i need the 2010 version. Someone told me that the 2007 Office software will not install on Windows 7.

I have the same office suite installed on my Windows 7 computer with absolutely no problem. My version of Windows 7 is the 32 bit but I have not heard of any problems with the 64.

You can install Office 32 bit on a machine running a 64 bit OS without problems. I am actually running Office 2010 32 bit
on both my Windows 7 64 bit machines. My daughter is also running Office 2007 32 bit on her Windows 7 64 bit machine.

Yes sure.. It won't be a problem.. It will work perfectly fine with both 32 bit as well as 64 bit..
