    Well----Just thought I'd tell ya I just ordered ---------- Newegg.com - ASUS MS227N Glossy Piano-Black / White 22" 2ms Ring Stand & Ergo-Fit Widescreen LCD Monitor 250 cd/m2 50,000 :1 (ASCR) - LCD Monitors-----Thanks for all your help---will let ya know how I like it---------------------------------------------gunnner :)

BTW----Did a little search on wallmart---they didn't have the same exact model but it was very close, just did't have the "O" ring stand. It had a pedestal stand, which would have the screen higher and block my view out the window. Wallmart was $10 cheaper---but have state tax (6 % I think ) & it would cost me about $12 ( or more )to go there & back! & I don't like going there or shoping there.:yikes:

I compared the newegg price on a monitor I just purchased at Best Buy and found that the newegg price was exactly the same. If you consider tax vs shipping it was a trade off. I have a number of retailers to choose from within 10 minutes but I know you do not. So rest easy you did just fine.:)

Wow indeed, Now thats the sort of place I dream of living, But the big one is could I cope with not having the local store 10 minute walk round the corner.

Me thinks that with a little Adaptation to the way the shopping is done I could.

Unfortunately though I don't think I could get used to the insects and snakes, the UK has a really nice lack of poisonous and venomous creatures.

and also a big lack of anything that is big enough to bite or savage, other than dogs owned by idiots.

No earth quakes or tremors, defiantly missing on Volcanoes, in fact I think crossing the road is the most dangerous thing in the UK.

Hi Gunnner. When your New Monitor arrives,it will have an option of 2 cables to use.
Blue ends are VGA,which you most likely are using now.Don't use the Blue ended cable.
The Blue VGA Cable is for older type Monitors.
Use the DVI Cable with the White ends, which plugs in the back of your Tower,
Next to where you have the Blue Cable plugged in now.
The DVI cable has a pin set up like this.
Turn your Computer off, plug in the DVI and Power Cable.
    Simple as that.
    HTH.

It all comes down to what you plan on doing with the monitors -
Just using the web and looking at docs - then a cheap and cheerful Acer or such will do
If you are looking to play games/video edit then Viewsonic make some of the best - but that comes at a price

Make sure you set the monitor up, plug and play 9/10 now makes the settings far too bright.
best bet is to have a look on the monitor manufacturer website and see if they have a forum, there are normally lots of peoples pre defined settings for all uses.
