    Hi,
    on sbs 2003.
    I keep getting an "mmc.exe application error" message whenever I try to use
    most windows components (eg server management) along with
    "the application failed to initialize properly (0xc00150004) click ok to
    terminate the application" I can only click ok and the programs wont run. I
    believe there is a new verson 3 of mmc which I was able to download but when
    I try to install it I get the same error.
    I want to install service pack 2 downloaded OK but cant even do that - get
    the same error.
    I cant even get to the log as because when I try to run the event viewer get
    the same error.
    I dont even see mmc running as a process?
    Does anyone know of a work arround to fix this problem as the server is
    becoming almost impossible to manage with this constant error?
    any help will be appreciated.
    thanking you

    Make sure;

    %SystemRoot%\system32\WBEM

    is somewhere in your system PATH statement.
