Microsoft Security Essentials

    Okay. I've been comparing MSE, MBAM and SAS.

    I have to say, MSE is looking rather tarnished.

    MBAM updates more frequently than MSE.

    IMO SAS has them both beat on the update front.

    Plus SAS shows you the definitions added during update.

    SAS is being offered to me for one day only at $9.95 .

    I think I'm going to take that offer.

    You are comparing apples to oranges... Malwarebytes and Superantispyware
    are completely different from Microsoft Security Essentials.
    In addition to either mbam or SAS you still need an antivirus program.
    SAS @ $9.95 is only for one year, for an additional $9.95 you receive life
    time updates instead of having to renew your SAS every 12 months.........

    Okay. Help me become less ignorant. ;) MSE is both A/V & A/S ? MBAM & SAS are only A/S ?

    All three are good choices. You need at least one AV-scanner and two AS-scanners, because AS-scanners have a lower detection power.
    So you have a good deal, if you like scanners.
