I no longer use Microsoft Office (only because I'm too cheap to buy it) and although I do like 'Open Office', it does have a wee glitch or two (perhaps because I use so many documents in one day). Normal 'Note Pad'/'Word Pad' doesn't begin to cover most needs for those wanting a word processor ... so ...

Has anyone tried the 'Note Pad Plus' from the same Open Source Forge place that I believe creates 'Open Office'? - and, if so, do you like it?

(Personal note: Apparently this is a completely safe download site - BUT if you are going to try it, please always always scan all downloads before installing them :) )

Hey Mara, if you're talking about Notepad++ Then I have to sya I LOVE IT! I use it instead of normal windows Notepad all the time.

I don't use it for writing documents though, I use it for opening files or creating HTML on as it has a built in function that you can choose what "language" or similar you are writing and it will change the format/layout of the text to match. Such as PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc.

It is one of the handiest tools I have found for when I am programming or designing things, but don't know how it would hold up as a general word processor as I use Open office or Microsoft Word for that stuff.
