Microsoft now owns Xbone.com, the Xbox One nickname it hates

Microsoft took control of the xboxone.com and xboxone.net domain names earlier this year after unveiling its new console, and the company is adding another to the list. Fusible notes that Xbone.com is now owned by Microsoft, a nickname that is being widely used to shorten the Xbox One name. News of the domain registration comes just days after Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb took to popular gaming forum NeoGAF to express his displeasure over the nickname.
