microsoft malware remover not opening

I installed the microsoft malware remover, but i cant get it to open to run
and find the malware. Is there any way at all I can get this to open?
I also tried to get combofix and this also wouldnt open.. I'm guessing its
the malware stopping it from opening, but there must be someway to get past
that?!

Have you tried renaming it?

Do you mean MRT.EXE ?

If yes, rename it to; novella.com and try it again.

Sounds like a rootkit is preventing you from running Malware Removal tools
YOu may have to try using a rootkit revealer to detect and remove the
rootkit first and then proceed with the scan

Some of good Antirootkit utilities are

Sysinternals Rootkit Reaveler
