Microsoft Extends Windows 8.1 Update 1 Install Deadline by 30 Days

You may recall that Microsoft had previously made the recently released Update 1 for Windows 8.1 a requirement for receiving future security updates, and that the original deadline was this month's Patch Tuesday, which occurs tomorrow, on May 13. Because Update 1 has rolled out as quickly as expected, however, Microsoft has now extended this deadline another 30 days, and this month's Patch Tuesday updates will be available to Windows 8.1 users who have not yet installed Update 1 too.
