You don't open spam. You should be able to tell by the subject line that it is spam and simply mark it as such.
I get very little spam because I rarely open questionable emails. This is in my mail 3 email accounts: juno, gmail and yahoo. I some have other email accounts that I only look at about once a month because few have those addresses.

I used to get very little and simply deleted it. Now I have gotten none in 2-3 days since deleted the 15 that were there. I am waiting for more so I can open one and click the 3 dots and select Report Spam. But now I have gotten none in a few days.

I was thinking that you are right...I COULD have been getting so many BECAUSE I opened a few to see what they said. THEN is when they began to increase. Maybe I will STOP opening them and NOT reporting spam. Like I had always done.

Just got 3 SPAM emails. maybe I should NOT open them but just delete them. Not report them. That only calls attention to myself and signals I am opening them.

I followed your advice, (I Think). I did not open them and click menu items but just deleted them as always. Watching them. They involve closing accounts I never had and free gift offers come-ons. According to their names on the Spam list. I never before got more than a few per week and never opened them. Only deleted forever after clicking the box.

6 SPAM messages this morning. Just deleted as always. Did not open or report any. I did not feel any interaction would be a good thing to do.

If you don't report and block them, the same spam will keep being delivered.

WRONG! Stop simply deleting them - report them as spam so they will be blocked in the future. That's how you cut down on the spam. If you only delete, you will continue to receive messages from the same spammers.

Thank you. I shall try this on the next one I get. I did not know what to do and was afraid opening them would invite more.
Does it matter which one I might open and if so how to choose.

After thinking about this it seems I should open every one of the Spam I might receive, click the 3 ots, and select report spam for each of the spam emails for they may not be from the same sender. I used to simply select all then click delete forever. At first I was afraid to respond by opening them. Then later became curious. Now it seems I should open each one, click the 3 dots for menu, and click Report Spam so each one gets the Report Spam choice. I used to hardly if ever get ANY.

I tried opening few. I hesitate to respond to anything in Spam. There are free gift and money offers, packages that they say were not delivered, and I do not know how or if to respond. They do not all have a "Report Spam" choice if I click the 3 dots. I may just continue to delete it all.
Also, sometimes I do not have a 3-dots menu in the spam page with the "Report Spam" option such as the one I just received from WalMart with a free gift of money so I simply deleted it twice for it reappeared.
I am confusedd about how to deal with this sudden increase in SPAM messages. Any tips???

DO NOT EVER respond to a spam email, Bill and never click any links in any email that has already been identified as spam.
That is how you get hacked.

How do I find out HOW to stop these spam messages or block them. The pages if I open them do NOT HAVE the 3 dots at top right of screen any more and when I opened the first one there was a choice to Report As Spam. Now I do not know what to do. If I open them I see no way to unsubscribe ad no choice to report them. I just know not WHAT to do. Any help anyone can supply is appreciated. I never used to gat any or this many. There are free gifts of money, offers of various sorts, etc. I just do not know what to do. Some say delete them, others say to report them, but I do not know how. I used to simply delete the few that I used to get.

Can anyone tell me what to do? All I know to do or seem able to do is to simply click "BLock All Messages" after I find and click the 3 dots after opening the mails. It does not even say "Report as Spam" anymore ut I DID find the 3 dots in the message and clicked it for menu for two recent ones. I tried to block them.

I have always just clicked the select box and delete spam messages forever but then I never got but a few now and then.I never realized there might be a way to report as spam and I am still not certain. Someone posted how but I could not find it at the time and had already deleted them.
By the way, how long do I have to edit a message I post?

Just found two spams. I checked their boxes and clicked "Delete Forever". GONE! (for now anyway).

That's why he posted it for you, Bill.
We all know how confusing it is to figure out exactly how to handle spam, no worries.

If I just delete them as always I notice they do not come back again. So far at least. However I will watch the video some more.
But some like the one that says "Payment Declined - my SIRIUSXM membership expires today" keeps on and on and I never knew I had such a thing. Or what it even IS! I just keep on deleting them.
