I have something called Macrium Reflect Free on my laptop and do not even recall why, what it does, etc. It just sent an upgrade to 8.0 notice saying it is being retired January 2024. Do I even need to bother with this? I cancelelled the free Macrium 8.0 upgrade. I looks like whatever it is it will end in a few months anyway. I cancelled the update. But in case I get another notice I wondered if I really need it at all. Opinions welcome.

Macrium Reflect Free is a program to back up files. If you don't know what it is then you probably don't need it.

I cannot recall EVER using it. And since it is being discontinued I guess I do not need it NOW. Thanks for the info. Back then I was getting all the free stuff I could find.
AND, How do I get rid of the downward pointing Blue Arrow in the lower right tray trying to get me to download??? See uploaded file first icon.

It is back again today after Re-starting. Don't know why but it works. Since not using it anyway I will likely uninstall it. It will be discontinued anyway.

You need to uninstall the program so it doesn't reappear.

Now I have forgotten how to uninstall. Do you have any tips on this for Dell laptop Windows 7 64-bit. Maybe I never even uninstalled anything before? I have posted contents of a C-Drive folder named Macrium. If this is helpful. I am unsure how to uninstall Macrium. I see Macrium in list of Programs. Any tips would be welcomed.
I DID find a site with How to uninstall Macrium Reflect Free with Revo Uninstaller (https://www.revouninstaller.com/pre...lect Free, you can initiate the uninstallation.)

Go to control panel, programs and features and there will be a list of programs. Find Macrium select it and uninstall.

IJAC: I just tried this and it seemed to work. Guess I never uninstalled like this before, if I even ever did.. Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
Way back I just got lots of things that were free. May have never even used most of them. Just got updates. BGBG.
