When typing text in Word, Excel box filling etc. I lose the cursor after a few keys. Also when cursor is lost the online connection is often disconnected without me doing anything. I have tried a new mouse and k/b and also used all combinations of mouse settings. The problem happened about 10 times whist typing this text. I have run Norton 360 many times but problem exists.

Hello. When you lose the cursor, what do you do to get it back? Also, what happens if you keep typing?

You also mentioned that you lose the online connection. What are the symptoms? What do you do to get the connection back?

Since you mentioned that it happened whilst creating your post, that means you also lose it in your browser. Correct?

The answers to these questions will help us pinpoint what is wrong and how to fix it.

Further to Dragnets questions, have you got the cursor set to disappear while typing.?
Does moving the mouse bring your cursor back?

No cursor not set to disappear. Only a click with left mouse button brings cursor back. Online connection lost and had to be restored whilst typing this. Audible beep when cursor is lost. It can be lost online and offline.
