I'm trying to download a fantasy baseball draft kit. I'm running windows7 with explorer7. I do all of the steps in the download when I try to open the program I get this message: "Unrecognized database format C:\ProgramData\insiderbaseball2012\custombdb.mdb: -- Error number: 3343". I did contact the site that I downloaded from, they told me that it is on my end. Could it be something with my norton? Could it be a firewall? It's almost like only some of the program downloads. Any help would be great.... Thanks

    Hi and welcome bcbl

I'll be honest in that I'd never heard of the error your suffering from, so I went and found this artical about it.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/182867#appliesto

I think I would try, uninstalling if possible, if not I'd manually delete the folders associated with it, but this then would leave registry entries that need removing,

so after uninstalling or deleting associated folders I would then do a system restore to before when you first installed the application.

then I would try disabling any Antivirus, firewall programs, and try installing the application again.

alternativley you could try the advice in the article or wait for a more experienced tech to post.

Further to Match's advice I also haven't encountered this problem. I have read this about this error.

    QUOTE.

Reason that encounter Windows 3343 Runtime Error:

Main reason for this error is the computer have encountered unrecognized database format in Microsoft Access. And this run-time error will indicate that the database may have become corrupt most probably because another user may have ended the session unexpectedly. Possible reason for this error may also be related to network as the connection to the server may have failed while being connected to the database that results in run-time error.

Some other possible reasons are corruption, damaged hardware drive, registry problem, imperfect uninstall of programs, virus or malware or spyware invasion, conflictions of applications. Due to Windows 3343 Runtime Error severe problems in Windows operating system occurs like performance of system gets degraded or slow etc. As due to network related problems or corrupt database users become unable to perform anything in the MS Access error.Reason that encounter Windows 3343 Runtime Error:

I would run a full scan with Malwarebytes free.

    Update all your drivers.
    Run Disc cleanup.
