    Now the sun has come out here in the UK I sit at the bottom of my garden using my( Archos 80 G9 16GB 1.2 Android 3,2 Turbo) tablet.
    I get a wi fi signal but very weak. Is there a way to increase this signal without spending a fortune.

    You need to tell us the make and model of your router. Also how how far it is from the position that you are sitting. DSTM is probably right but it also may be possible to reposition your router. It is also very possible that you are using a g standard router rather than an N standard which has greater range.

    From what little I can find about that router it is wireless b/g and not wireless N. I also understand that Orange will supply a wireless N router upon request. What is the make and model of your laptop? If it does not have a wireless g or b/g adapter a router change will not help. If it is a relatively new machine that may solve the range problem for you.

    If not you will probably need to get a repeater or extender as DSTM suggested.

    Been in touch with Orange As you said it is NOT N. Orange happy to change the router PROVIDED I will sign a new contract and pay extra.Will be in touch with them next week.

    In my opinion you should not have to do that but, then, I am not in the UK. You can always just buy your on Wireless N Router or a repeater as DSTM first discussed.

    Been in touch with Orange they are not prepared to swap for me without me signing a new contract and paying more a month the fact that I have been a customer for at least 10 years makes no different.
    So I will go down the Dougies repeater route An N router is dearer than what I want to pay.

    In the end(£49) I bought a Linksys RE1000 Wireless-N range extender very simple to set up and I am pleased with the results.
