Vista Home Premium32 with all updates except above.

I am getting error C64 with the above update.

I looked at updates and have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 installed.
Why am I getting this error with Vista and what do I need to do?

Hi Randy: Had same problem ...Uninstall .Net Framework 1.1 from add/remove
programmes .This will remove an earlier hotfix that is causing problem too...
Now go back to windows update site as normal and check for updates..you will
find .Net Framework 1.1 and the KB953297 update.Install them as normal and it
should be successful .I had problem on both my laptops and worked with both
,the only hiccough being i had to try twice with one laptop but it does work.
Hope it works for you.... Scott.

I have XP on my laptop and had repeated failures with the KB953297 update. I
uninstalled 1.1 as you described, went to the Update site and the KB953297
update is no longer being offered to me.
    Works for me! Thanks!!
