I’m going to college soon and was wondering if I should invest in getting a tablet PC. I would probably get an eee pad transformer cause its awesome but i don't know if it is really worth it. Its main use in college would be note taking and surfing the web and simple stuff. Mostly note taking. So with that in mind would you recommend that or something else or nothing at all. Paper and notebook never worked for me cause i was disorganized so don't mention that. Thanks!!

    Hi and welcome to C_H_F

If I were lucky enough to be of an age where I was off to college I would be looking at the cheapest options.

You only need a notebook for note taking - producing assignments - surfing.
As long as it has a wireless adapter inbuilt ( and most do ) then I wouldn't worry about expensive kit.

You will be carrying this around the campus. Somebody could easily knock it out of your arms and damage result.
I would go for cheap and cheerful :)

You don't even need to buy MS Office. ( although I did read somewhere that there is a student version very cheap - Google it )
    The alternative is Open Office.
This is free and is compatible with MS Office. It looks similar too.
