We've got a wireless connection running through the house. One day after coming back from school, neither my computer or my Ipod could connect to the internet. It says I'm connected to the normal network I use, and even shows the signal strength, but i can't get online. Today we learned that my mother can't get online with her phone while connected to the Wi-fi. Her laptop and the family computer in the living room can still get online. Any ideas on what we can do to fix it?

I'll ask the usual thing, have you turned the router/modem off and back on again, in most cases that should solve any connection issues, also try restarting your computers, phones etc after this.

If that doesn't fix it you'll need to give us more information on the router manufacturer and model number to start with, also how close are these devices to the router? are the affected devices further away than the working devices.

Ya, tried that, but thanks. The router is a D-Link WBR-1310, and I've tried standing right next to it with my Ipod and it still won't work.

Ya. That worked. Family said they did that earlier, but I guess they neglected the hidden little "Restart" button. Sorry for being beyond oblivious/dumb. Can close this thread/delete from existence to hide my stupidity if you'd like.

Not a problem, even us techies round here miss the easiest solution sometimes (and bang our heads on walls) :)
