This problem is now resolved :) 1 up for back ups :D

But the problem was that I tried to install new software and got the error message Internal error, please contact support etc blah blah blah, It quickly became apparent that this was a windows problem as I found I could un-install anything but not install.

It would seem that this was a registry problem but rather than try to fix it I opted for the 35 minute load of the back up image.

BUT..... just wondering if anyone else has hit this error and have been able to resolve it?

Last week my friend set up a new computer, and after all the updates they experienced problems.
They finally figured it out, they had forgotten to download and install Java and Adobe flash player, ect...
I am thankful for Computer Help Forums for all the experienced users out there helping other people.
This shows that people really do care for one another. Keep up the good work, all of you!
