I have had Outlook for over a year now and have tried everything my technologically simple mind can think of, to no avail. Even tried contacting the company but they just wanted money. Any possible help would be greatly appreciated.

In order to help you set up Outlook we need to know your ISP. (Internet Service Provider)

Along with your ISP also please tell us what you are trying to configure i.e. pop3 email account, signature, calendar etc....and very important which version i.e. Outlook 2010? Unfortunately every one can be a bit different and are you trying to move old contacts and messages to new version or use for the first time?

It's Xfinity. I guess the POP3. Not for sure what the difference between IMAP and POP3 is. But I would like the email account and calendar and whatnot. It's Office Professional 2010. It's for first time use. But I have been trying to use my yahoo email account.

Unless your Yahoo Mail is a paid account or you are on Verizon, you cannot use Outlook to receive it and that is why you are having problems. We can show you have to receive Comcast email with Outlook as Pop3, just not free Yahoo mail.
