I keep getting a BSOD how can I stop it!?

I have a Gateway GM5626 not the newest but it works or worked! It has the original Nvidia G-Force 8500 GT GPU in it, the other day I moved the HDD to an unused Optical Drive slot. After I did this when I booted up it game me a Blue screen with the code (000008e) I can't read the rest but what I can read it says check to make sure you have enough disk space etc. So I did some trouble shooting and put the HDD back in its original place. Still kept happening, So I uninstalled my GPU driver and it stopped. When I re-installed it the Blue screen started again when ever I booted up.

    Current Hardware:

    Motherboard UNKOWN
Intel Pentium E2180 2.0Ghz Dual Core
    3gb Dual Channel Memory DDR2 2x1GB Modulus 2x512mb Modulus 3GB Total
    ASUS DVD/RW DVD Drive
    300wat PSU
    Nvidia G-Force 8500 GT GPU 256mb memory
    Integrated Intel HD Graphics
Currently it is running Windows Vista Ultimate it does not like to run Windows 7

I want to solve this problem asap I need this PC for school!

The error code you quote is a hardware compatibility error code, which as you found out the GPU driver was the cause, I'd just forget the moving of the HDD as that will just be coincidence.

As a start, what driver are you installing?

If you are trying to use the latest version of graphics driver then try going back a few versions to a more stable one.
