I think there is no need, for Hybrid Embryos,as I think, it is dangerous territory.
One never knows, what experiments are being carried out, behind closed doors.
To me, it's Science going too far.
    What are your thoughts?

It depends on what they are being used for - let me explain

Animals - I do NOT agree with dog breeders who make other 'pedigree' animals to make money.

What I do agree with is using a species' resilience to a disease and using that to a good cause eg Cancer (this would normally mean using more than one animals DNA and your 'hybrid embryos')

Some of our best known breeds are a result of breeding practices that should have been banned years ago instead of being made standards. Pugs, for example, can barely breath and should never have been accpeted. Sure they are great little dogs but they would be just as great if they were allowed to have a nose.

My own Yorkie, Mokey Fraggle and her mom, Pickles, are good examples of one end of the problem. To me they are little dogs but to these breeders who get greedy and try to make them the size of a large rodent, they are considered large.

Well I will take my big 9 pound Yorkie any time!!

How delinquent Dog Breeders are allowed to sell Vicious Dogs to the unwitting Public,is beyond me.
Dogs Like Rottweillers 130 LBS,Pitt Bulls 65 LBS,and one of the most dangerous, the Presa Canario 115 LBS.Humans have no chance against this Breed.
Also odd Breeds like the hairless Dog are not natural.
What worries me also, what the rogue Scientists are trying to develop behind closed doors.
If this Hybrid Embyro Technology, is purely for the right motives, then I haven't an issue with it.:)

My take on this is about using Hybrid Embryos on humans as opposed to animals. My opinion is mixed. I believe that it would enable lifesaving research that could help people with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other diseases.

The Catholic Church calls it a "monstrous attack on human rights, human dignity and human life."

I think that in many ways we are like children playing with land mines, without any concept of the dangers of the technology.

The idea of blending human and animal DNA to make "chimeric" embryos for research has long been contentious in the United States, where such experiments are legal if conducted without public funding.

This is how it was when the idea was discussed a couple of years ago. I don't know if it has changed since.

I just don't think that it should be used to breed animals. If it's used it should be used to help cure human diseases.

I'm going to side track here slightly and upset all the human rights supporters, but this planet can only support so much life, the more humans the less space for other life.

at some point we are going to reach a point where there are too many humans for this planet to support and what happens then to human rights and morals?

AT that point we either have to find another Planet to populate or there will be complete chaos!

All of the above is true, I want to move to Mars when it gets too populated here :snckr: to see the Transformers

On a serious note there are more pressing matters that will cause humans to die before overpopulation such as global warming, lack of fossil fuels, war
