ow I'm looking to replace my Inspiron 1545 for a new Asus G51VX-RX05. My purpose of buying this laptop is for gaming and multimedia design. The retail price I assume is ~$1000 and up but I'm getting for $200 (Not telling you where ^_^).

The games I want to play are; Oblivion, Fallout 3/New Vegas, Borderlands, Dragonage Origins, Sims 3, Modern warfare 2, COD4, Assassins Creed, Crysis/Warhead e.t.c.

Can you rate these specs for portability, power, speed, durability e.t.c. and would there be any models that are better?

    Asus G51VX-RX05
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor P7350
    (2.0 GHz/1066MHz FSB/3MB Cache)

I/O Ports: (4) USB 2.0, eSata, Firewire, HDMI, VGA, 8-1 Media Reader, Audio Jacks: 1 Microphone, 1 Headphone Jack, 1 S/PDIF Output (shared with headphone port)
    6-Cell 72 mAH Battery
    Weight & Dimensions: 14.8 in. x 10.4 in. x 1.6 in.
    Weight: 6.2 lbs

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Those specs are fine for the games you want to play, the biggest thing to remember that laptops have smaller screens and do not require as much power as their desktop equivalents.

When gaming the main factor is the resolution you plan on playing games at and the GPU used, as you are limited on the resolution any 'gaming' laptop should have a GPU fitted that is capable to play games at a moderate level to the screen they are supplied with.

and for $200 I will have several :)
