How to release folders permission?

    Dear all,

    I forgot to reset all the permission to everyone before I delete my windows
    server 2003.
    The files in the harddisk cannot be access now, and also cannot to change
    the security settings.
    Can I get back all the files in my harddisk?

    Take ownership of them (right-click/properties/security/advanced/Owner).
    Then reset the permissions.
