How to recreate users to have same SIDs from one machine to another?

I am planning to copy files with their users permission from one stand
alone machine to another. The destination machine is already setup and
so I am doing any cloning.

However I DO need to keep the same file permissions and the same
    users.

My plan is to change the destination computer SID to match the old one
because the users' SID is based on the computer's SID. (The SIDs of
local accounts consist of the computer's SID and an appended RID).

Now I need to recreate these same local accounts on the destination
machine. How do I recreate them so that they get the same SID as the
    old machine?

I want to do this so that the old file permissions would work as is in
the new machine. Would this process work?

  2. Hello Tony,

This process may work but is not supported from MS. It would be the same
if you use an image and do not sysprep it. So all SID's are the same.

    Best regards

  3. The only way to have a user account be the same is to have that user account
in the machine before the image is made,...sounds like a disaster waiting to
happen. If you manage to do what you want you will probably regret it soon.

I don't really care about the SID's of the users. I don't want to
replicate the same sid values. I just want to recreate the same
accounts and then use a tool that can figure out the permissions
associated with the files on the older machine and replicate the same
permissions on the destination machine by matching the user names (not
the sid). I am surprised there's no free or low cost solution for
    this.
