How to move offine file cache back to My Documents?

    Shawn Martin Guest

I want to turn off folder redirection and move the cached Offline files
back to the Desktop and My Documents folder on the local machine. We
had a server crash and I would rather not use Folder Redirection at this
time. I had a Group Policy on the old server that sent a certain groups
files to a secure location on the old server. Files and Folders on the
Desktop and My Documents are now read-only. The user has to copy it to
another location to work on it. Even if I disable it they still have
Synchronization Problems. Under Properties of My Documents it shows the
location of My Documents but there is no way to change the Target back
to default on a machine whose user of a member of that group. Please
provide any info on how to move the Offine cache back to the default
location of My Documents and the Desktop and to turn off synchronization.

    Thanks,

    Shawn

  2. Hello Shawn,

On the gpo, User Configurations, Windows settings, Folder Redirection.
Select the disired folder (Desktop or Mydocuments) under properties and
settings tab, select the :Redirect folder back to the local userprofile when
    policy is removed"..
