how to forbid windows server 2008 to auto restart after an sheduled windows update

    Hello,

    how to forbid windows server 2008 to auto restart after an sheduled windows
    update ?
    their is no user logged in, it's a database server ... i want simply that
    when a user will next
    log on the computer, a dialog box will alarm it to restart the computer

  3. Hello loki,

    To prevent the automatic reboot you have to reconfigure it to "Download updates
    but let me choose wether to install them" or "Check for updates but let me
    choose wether to download and install them"

    You can not prevent the reboot without being logged on, when the automatic
    install of updates is choosen. You can reconfigure the time settings for
    the reboot to delay but not stop the automatic reboot.
