ERROR - (BEEB) should have been BEEN)in the above post #140. It looks like I typed "beeb" instead of BEEN. Pretty obvious but I tried correcting it anyway as it looked like it could not be edited. I made this post apparently at 11:22AM.
By the way how can I change my sign in back to BGBG instead of bbreva which maybe was an older sign in? Or if anyone can do it for me and let me know it would be fine. I do not know when or how it got changed.

I am growing tired of this post. It seems not to apply anymore. May start a new thread. Apparently my login bbreva6 is from an older sign in. I would like to return to the BGBG newer one if someone could tell me how to do so. Maybe when I changed to the Firefox ESR from GOOGLE CHROME. Also I keep getting this message box: "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window." I have been closing it but HOW DO I STOP IT ????? Anybody know?

In order to sign in under BGBG, you need your password.

I figured out how to return to the BGBG login I used while on Google before returning to Firefox, the ESR version which is working well. I believe the bbreva6 login was from an old browser. I have decided to take Plodr's and others advice and keep a written list of my logins regardless of whether I save any to computer. Seems like a better option.

So...although it is still ME, it will or should now say BGBG instead of bbreva6 (the older login name).
Since it seemed easier to simply have the computer remember them I feel better having a list whether I use it or not.

I tried signing up again but not sure if it worked. Anyway, I went through the process a few times and now I can login as BGBG with my old password instead of bbreva6. Hope I am doing this right.
I do not believe I had any help the first time but now it is very difficult. Anyway, I think I am changed back to the BGBG . I hope so.

Thank you for the encouraging comment. I knew I used to be BGBG but I recently found the password I used. So I went through the steps to get signed up as BGBG again. Finally got it to work.

You will be safe running Windows 7 under 2 conditions: as long as FF ESR for Windows 7 keeps getting security updates and you run Malwarebytes at least weekly to be sure any suspect items are caught.

We safely run 4 Windows 7 computers. Of course my husband doesn't download anything and does not open any suspect emails. He relies on a chromebook I purchased to read the daily online local newspaper.

Perhaps what you do will work on a chromebook. Have you considered them?

I knew nothing about Chromebook until now. I run Microsoft Security Essentials and malware bytes daily. And almost never finds anything.

DRAG and DROP WEBSITE URL: Sometimes works and sometimes it does not. Unsure WHY. At least I was successful at changing some of my logins. Some had quit working for me. I am using Firefox ESR. I keep getting a warning that the old Firefox is interfering and close the box each time it appears after choosing to close Firefox.

I still cannot successfully drag/drop logins from URL to the desktop or folder. Sometimes it works and sometimes not. And I keep getting this message To "close an old Firefox that is still running". I cannot understand why it works sometimes but not others with FF ESR.

Sorry but we don't either. None of us running FF ESR have the two issues you have.
