Finally figured out the "drag-drop" URL transfer. If the padlock does not have a lone through it I can hold mouse button down and drag and drop the padlock along with URL to an empty folder and IT TRANSFERS by copying and IT WORKS ! It makes a shortcut.

I found if there is a padlock on the URL with a line through it, it says insecure. If I click the padlock the line across it disappears and THEN I CAN DRAG AND DROP TO DESKTOP OR A FOLDER.

Does anyone know what these g-mail account termination warnings are about? They come in SPAM. Says my account will be terminated. I have never paid anything for a g-mail account that I recall and I did not wish to respond to the SPAM notice. Anyone know anything about this or what will happen if I keep ignoring the warnings that may come in my SPAM folder???
I do not recall EVER paying anything to subscribe to a g-mail account. Is this some sort of trickery???? It says my account will be terminated March 4th if I do not renew it now. As far as I know it has always been FREE.

They are being diverted to your SPAM box because they are SPAM.
    Don't open, just delete.

Do not waste your time opening messages in gmail spam. Just delete them.

You know how you ignore "idiots" calling you on your phone by hanging up on them, treat anything in spam the same - ignore it and move on.

Re: Post #125 .....Now I find I CANNOT drag the URL and drop to desktop or folder. Cannot understand why it worked sometimes but not always. It worked for awhile then stopped. I think it it FF ESR but I forgot how to find out.
Also I find I cannot get to Computer Help Forums anymore (5 or 6 tries)except I did something this time and it worked as usual.
Now I found a way but if I click the desktop shortcut it does not go to the usual site. Unsure how I did it now. I selected and copied the URL and pasted it into the URL box.
    like this:

    https://computerhelpforums.com/threads/how-to-change-login.55075/page-7#post-221767. Then it worked

How do I get it back the way it WAS??????????

Re: My Last.....I found the problem. My shortcut had changed from .com to .net. I found how to make it named .com again and now it works. Unsure how or why that happened. Never did before.

    That's a weird little glitch.
Glad you have it straightened out.

Now if I could change the bbreva6 back to BGBG it would be normal again.

I believe this thread has changed drastically from the beginning so pretty soon I am going to start a new thread. By the way, can anyone suggest a way to return to my BGBG login and get rid of the bbreva login I must have started a long while back(maybe in a different browser) and it suddenly reappeared for some unknown to me reason? And I have forgotten what the password was also.

I see I used to have other sign-ins. One was BGBG and the other was WGWG. Is there some instruction on how to re-instate these sign-ins?

Does anyone know a way I can reset my windows 7 laptop with Firefox ESR so I can drag and drop a URL and make a shortcut like it used to do? It was able to for awhile but then it stopped being able to do so again.

I do not know what I just did but I had a website up with URL and I tried dragging the URL to an empty folder and it created the login which worked. I am puzzled about why I could not do this before.

Suddenly I tried it and it just started to work again. Maybe the mouse battery was weak or something. I recently changed it. I dragged and dropped a URL to several folders and also to the desktop.

Re: Malware Bytes Free - occasionally I get an item put into quarantined. I had beeb waiting a week or two then deleting it if I found it. Is this the correct thing to do??? I have the free version and it almost never quarantines items or only a few now and then if any.
