As Plodr stated, Firefox ESR is the only patched and supported browser that works for you with Windows 7.

I was afraid of that. I am looking for reasons the URLs do not drag & drop to desktop and folders. Found a few suggestions but not tried them yet.

Just don't open them if they are in your junk/spam email.

I am now getting emails that say "A New Device Was Saved To My Profile". Looks like the same junk that appears in Spam folder. I just delete them.
A new device was saved to your profile = an example.

Must be that. Been having lots of trouble with Logins lately. I think I will make a list of them on paper so I can see what thy are right away, as I have seen this recommended. I have always done it the Lazy Way and saved on computer.

Yes, you should have a written copy because if/when your hard drive dies, no way will you be able to get the username/password for every site you visit.
I've always done this - written copy of everything I don't want to lose.

I often get a warning box that says Firefox older version is preventing things from working and wants to close it. If I look in programs and features I see the new FF ESR I recently installed but do not see an older one. I do see a Mozilla Maintenance Service and am wondering if that is the one I should uninstall. I can find no other Firefox installations and was wondering if the one I did find could be the interfering old one. I can see no others so have done nothing. Do not understand what the one I mentioned is for. Any ideas????

When that happens, take a screenshot.
I have not gotten that message on any of our 4 Windows computers.
I have Mozilla Maintenance Service. Let it alone.

It also gives me the option to click "close Firefox now".

What can I or should I try to do about this - see above post about OLD FIREFOX.PNG. It pops up every so often and I just have been closing it. Because I found no old Firefox in the Control Panel under programs and features. I used to have an old Firefox but then installed the Firefox ESR when I received a way to do it.

    1. Press Ctrl+ALt+Del together.
    2. Click on the last item:Task Manager.
    3. I currently see firefox.exe 14 times. I clicked on the heading Image Name to see this.
Close each firefox.exe that you see. Then click End Process. You have to do this one at a time. FF will disappear.

Note it says old firefox process. It is telling you Firefox is not responding; it has nothing to do with an "old firefox" install.

After you end every firefox.exe process, then you can re-open Firefox.

When firefox starts, how many tabs do you have open? Perhaps you have too many and that's why FF is not responding. It takes time to get everything working.

I just tried it. Did not work for me. Have not used printer in a long time. Have to re-read the manual to make sure I still know how.
Now I cannot get the Task box to close. It says HOW TO CHANGE LOGIN Page 6 Computer H... Status Running. How do I close it???

I just tried restarting and it closed.
