Since I am only used to one browser at a time I think I shall uninstall the old Google Chrome, maybe the FF ESR , re download and install FF ESR and use the same login. That is what I think I shall do. The current Firefox works with most everything except I cannot get it to drag & drop the URL to desktop or folder for some reason.

Why? It seems you will be creating problems for yourself. If it currently works, use it; don't remove and re-install.
Eventually you'll end up with no working browser if you keep fooling around enough.

    I agree with Liz.
Pick the browser that works and stay with it.

I am still receiving these C.H.F replies in my G mail but do not know why. And above...maybe should not do what I mentioned above. It will solve nothing.

    You shouldn't be any more.
I removed the setting in admin panel from BGBG, but not bbreva6.
    I fixed it.
Have you ever thought about having a local computer tech come in and assist you in person, Bill?
We think that's what you would benefit from the most.

I do not have a problem with G mail if I use FF ESR but the login was old from before I began to use Google. Now I cannot log in with Google but if make FF ESR the default browser I can receive email but only for the bbreva6 login I used when I began Firefox. Now I have to switch back and forth which gets confusing and do not know enough to tell you what to do and I do not want techs coming to the house and messing with my equipment. So I guess I am stuck with my dilemmas.

Would Opera browser be better than Google or Firefox?

NO! The only browser that is secure on Windows 7 computers is FF ESR. Do not try using other browsers.

Thank you. I was about to look for a replacement. I am considering uninstalling Google for it is confusing to have more than one browser. in the https:// line of FF it starts with a shield and a padlock outline. And I cannot drag and drop the URL. Any way to do this?

PROBLEMS NEVER END. Now I have TWO browsers, a FF ESR and the same Google and I cannot login to same site As I have used for years problem free. It does not recognize my sign in. I do not know what to do.
And neither of my browsers will work now on sites I have used for years. And I keep getting emails in reply to my posts and do not know why or how to stop them. I thought Cindy E (Allheart 55) had stopped them but I guess not. William.

We have no idea what you did. I have 3 browsers on the current computer I'm using. I have no trouble signing into sites. I also am not receiving email replies to anything I post here or at other forums because I have turned them off in settings.

I got a g-mail of your post, looked at the bottom where it said click to disable all emails and I clicked it - now maybe they will stop. Never happened before recently. In all these years, I never got an email reply to a Forum posting. Since I never had the problem I never asked. This time I read the mail and did as it said.

I am going crazy. I do not understand computers anymore if I ever did. Trying to operate with newer Google and Older Firefox using FF ESR is a nightmare. Have no idea what I am doing or how to do or change it. Feel like uninstalling it all and starting over. But I do not know HOW.
I cannot seem to succed at anything right now.

We on this forum can only help to a point. You really need a local computer person to check things out and work with you on a one-to-one basis.

I used to have only ONE browser and email. Now I have TWO browsers, a FF ESR AND a Google Chrome AND a Gmail with my account AND my wife's account. VERY CONFUSING if you have never tried it. Hardly know what to do anymore AND I am the one who set all this up. A NIGHTMARE!
Thank you, Cindy. I shall ignore them. I have tried to stop the sending of Forum Postings to my emails.

Can someone disable these postings that come to my email? I have tried clicking Disable all emails but it has not worked because I keep on receiving them.
