How Much Time Do You Spend On Computer?

I think if someone tracked how much time I spend in front of the computer and they presented it back to me as days in a year I would be shocked but not surprised. I use my computer:

1/ Work (no escaping this one but i love it so it is not like work at all)
2/ Listen to music (I listen to a lot of music)
3/ Play games (emulators)
4/ Call people on Skype
5/ Kill time

I rarely watch TV now. I do try to make time to pull myself away from it a few times a week by doing something totally unrelated like take some beers, play pool/snooker. I also sleep and eat

How bad is your ratio of computer hours versus non-computer hours?

 

Well I work in IT so mine 'should' be higher than most :lol:

I wake up around 7am and then go into my loft room 'classed as the den by my partner' :lol:
check all ok, it is 99% of the time (check backups ran etc)
the have brekky and sort the kids, get ready then go to work, and from 8:30 until 5:30 (I could be doing anything)
I then go home and normally go out with the kids and then when they are in bed around 9pm I either play on games or watch TV/FILMS from my server until 12-2 depending on how tired I am.
so pretty much 90% of my time is on PCs, I used to play lots of MMORPG (Guild Wars) and I clocked up some serious time on that, I think I worked it out to 20 hours a week average 2 years ago :lol:

You make it sound like a disease or psychological affliction.

I spend almost all day at work seated in front of my computer, and a fair amount of time at home.

 

Well my advice to you is to spend some time here on CHF that should make it even .... er, Badder?

 

I spend 10 hours a day on my computer.

I spend from about 8am to 5pm on a pc at work, sometimes i do visit the forum on the sly, and from about 6pm till about 12midnight during the week.

at work i dont have a choice as i am the cso.

at the weekend mainly in the morning and evening unless we go out of course.
