How many servers?

I have about 12,000+ users that login close to the same time. How many DC
would be good to have to authenticate those many users? I current have
Server 2003 and 4 DC's. It seems like some of the users are not getting
their home folder mapped. I was wondering if I need more DC's. Some of the
users are located in different areas with 100MB link back to the server
room. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
