I was thinking of running 2 operating systems, when I finish my build. I was just going to use MY 320 gig HD, I already have for General Web use, And pick up a 1TB HD for all my games, Music, Movies and Pictures. Then use my 200 Gig HD for an external Back up.

Would it work, TO put a O/S on my 320 and the 1TB? and would I have to do a restart to switch between the 2 O/S's? If I Don't have to restart could I set it up so that one O/S, Starts on one monitor and the Other O/S starts on another monitor?

And If I did do this would it bog my system down alot?

    Hi Patrick :)

You would need to go dual boot and you will have the choose of what OS to boot in to at startup, as you can only run one OS at a time there will be no system slow down,.

What OSes are you thinking of using ?

No sorry hon but one Motherboard cant run two OS at the same time, but dual boot is very handy on this Computer my ~2nd in line i run Windows 7 and XP Pro on two HDDs but you can do dual boot on one HDD via partitioning the HDD, there is a few good freeware partitioning apps and creating a dual boot is not hard :)

Yes thats one way but it is Virtual, and i must admit i have never tried to set up VM ware on a second monitor, i have used VM ware to test OSes and how Virus affects them, (i will look into a dual monitor setup for this) :)

Yes it is possible but not as you think, sending you info via PM.

Ok so You have done some testing on viruses, Would setting up a VM system for just web browsing on it's own HD, help stop my main system from getting infected?

Interesting concept. I don't have an answer for that one but it is a good question and perhaps worthy of its own thread.
