    Hi guys

I have XP Pro installed on my other HDD and XP Home on my main one. I unable
to the Pro to update my usb thus I couldnt used my modem on it. The Home is
updated and I am able to connect to the internet. The question is how do I
update the Pro to SP 2 or SP 3 by the windows update. Getting the cd is out
of question for me as it takes time to arrive and downloading by external
link takes too long for me as my bandwith speed is limited.

    Thanks

Not that I understood the sentences - but...

Download it elsewhere, put it on a USB drive and install it from there.
(Work, Friends house, Family member, coffef shop, cafe, bookstore, etc.)

If your Windows XP Professional is SP1 or later - you only need the SP3
    installation.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 - ISO-9660 CD Image File

Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network Installation Package for
IT Professionals and Developers (works just as well for you.)

In case your Windows XP is RTM, not SP1 or later already, here is the SP2
    download link:

Windows XP Service Pack 2 Network Installation Package for
IT Professionals and Developers (works just as well for you.)

Truthfully - if I am reading this correctly - you need to download the
driver updates for your computer and install them. Then your WIndows XP
Professional would be able to access all the same hardware your Windows XP
Home Edition can on that computer. The service packs will not assist with
that - only the hardware vendors will give you the drivers you need.

    Not much choice.

Go to a library, family or a friend's house with high-speed internet
connection and download Windows XP SP1 and SP3 to a flash drive.

You need SP1 to install SP3 for Windows XP.
