I am using WSIM to create the sysprep.xml file. How do I make it prompt for
    a computer name for sysprep

After creating the sysprep.inf file with a test computer name in it, delete
the name from the inf file, save it, then sysprep the machine.

Sorry, I didn't realize you have 2008, you didn't post the operating system
    version.

Have you opened up the XML file in notepad and found where the name is? Just
remove it. Save it, reboot and test it.

If not sure how, the following links should be able to guide you.
