    OMG....are you kidding me....they're going to pay it. This is exactly why you have off site backups....complete hourly backups for such organizations and have competent staff who knows what they are doing. I know how I would fix it.....simple really...time consuming...yes, but I wouldn't have to pay the ransom.

    Wow is that sad that in this day and age the school system would not have backup in place to protect against such a calamity.

    I know...what's really sad.....from the county IT director....I think that's what the video said, that their backups where infected as well or that their backups are incomplete. In either case....it's retarded.
