    I've Got An Older Compaq Laptop That Always Boots Up With A Message About Finding Hibchk Found On 1 Line Of The Autoexec.bak.

    I Am Also Relatively Computer Illiterate.

    Can Someone Explain How To Correct This Problem In Simple Language?

    Just edit the autoexe.bat (make a backup first) with notepad and just remove that line. Running windows 98 the autoexe.bat will be in the C:\
