Okay so I had built a really bad setup for 300$ in the past with
    A8-7600
    Gigabyte mobo
    1 tb HDD
    No gpu
    700 watt PSU
And I had borrowed a used copy of Windows 8 build 9200 from a friend because I somehow thought I could install windows 8 wjthout needing to buy it and after downloading I realized I needed a product key to activate it but my friend already used it for his all in one computer so I was deep in **** and I said whatever and I didn't use the computer for a while so I saved up for a better computer with
    Nvidia gtx 970
    I7 4790k
    Gigabyte ga-z97 gaming 5 mAtx
    Corsair's air 240
    Reused HDD 1 tb
    Reused PSU
    Windows 7 pro
So this time I actually researched all about computers so I knew what I was getting and actually bought a copy of Windows 7 instead of the original windows 8 build 9200 pro that my friend had lended me. I'm only freaked about one thing though. I just want to know how to install windows 7 because windows 8 is there unactivated and I'm not sure if they would interfere with each other so I don't lose more money. If there is a way without getting a new hard drive then that would be splendid
    Thanks.

    Steam power
No reason you cant install Windows 7 over what you have, activated or not. The Windows 7 install disc can format the hard drive and install 7.
