Well the story is last night I was gaming online and my internet went out. I checked it and it was a problem with my cable. So I installed an Alfa antenna that I use on my laptop and the installation went fine. However it said I needed to restart the computer. I restart the computer only now when it boots up it will flash the bios but instead of going to the Windows Logo and the login screen it will just have a plain black screen.

There is a dash in upper left hand corner and the lower right hand corner has a 99 that quickly becomes a 9D. I can't even get it to boot in safe mode. I opened up the computer and checked all the cards and connections and everything was still in good shape and fitted properly

I really need to get this fixed fast and any help would be much appreciated.

Perhaps A problem was with the cable. It also seems that the machine is not recognizing your hard drive. Have you checked the boot sequence in your bios. Have you had any other problems with this machine lately? Any sounds that seem out of place?

Checked all the cable, can't even get into the Bios, tested it with the Hard Drive unplugged, took out the Motherboard battery and put it back in. All the same thing

Hi. You really need to attempt a startup repair IMO.
To lose power while processors are running can cause real issues.

Ok, how do I do that. I just get that black screen and no matter what I try am unable to get into BIOS or System Restore and anything like that

Edited to add, DSTM beat me too it, check what he recommends first, then have a look at my advice if either you don't have a windows 7 disk or other options from that link fail.

Hi, to get into the BIOS, you say you see the initial BIOS sequence right at the start, if that is so you need to be tapping one of several different keys, as soon as you press the start button, you only have a few seconds to do so.
A possible key is the Del or delete key, however different makes of computer use different keys, some it may be the F2 or F12 key.
So we now need to know the full make and model number of the computer to be able to tell you which key you need.

That hopefully should be enough for getting you into the BIOS.

However before that, We may not need the BIOS, and for a system start up repair you need to get to the advanced Boot options page, again from the minute you press the start button, you need to be tapping the F8 key, you should then get the advanced boot options page to open. (F8 is common to most Windows seven machines)
Tapping the key usually works as just holding it down or just pressing it once, will likely miss the right very short moment when it is active.

If you can get that page to open the first option to try is "Last known good configuration", that should take the operating system back to a point in time when it was working.

If Last known good configuration doesn't work, there is also the option to "Repair your Computer"

Those do of course depend on being able to open the Advanced Boot Options page.

    Nev.
