Gantt Chart Template - Excel 2016

    Hi,

    I've recently been made aware of Gantt charts and having never seen or used one, I now need to for a compilation of a report.

    Looking at Excel 2016, I've been able to find a template (Gantt project planner) but it's a tad confusing. It might be once I understand some of the headings and how they fit into the overall Gantt chart:

    Period Highlight
    Actual Start
    Actual (beyond plan)
    % Complete (beyond plan)

    And how editable is it? I'd like to change it from Periods to Dates

    I've tried going through a walkthrough to set one up myself but it didn't end well.

    Any tips and advice much appreciated

    I see there are Gantt Chart Template - Excel 2016 utube tutorials, which may help you.
