Gaming Lag

Hi All,

Having a few issues with the internet. As some already know from the Virtual Machines thread I made, I am making a Roblox fansite as it has a potential for HUGE revenue, and of course, to have a fansite, you need to play the game with other users.

Normal internet browsing is fine. Any site with good servers loads really fast. My site, Google, Facebook, Ebay, Hotmail, This site, they all load really fast with a disabled cache. Absolutely fine, cannot complain,

HOWEVER, when gaming, it's a different story. For some reason, when playing an online game or resource intensive program, the internet starts to go extremely slow and I lag like hell. In Roblox, when looking for servers/games to join, There is a join button. Under this, if a user in the game has slow internet, a "Slow Connection" warning appears under the button. On servers I join, this happens after I joined, so It is something Client side, not Roblox (or any other game)'s server side.

I am unsure what is causing it. Its weird. I am on virgin with a modem and router in parents room. The router is netgear and I am using a wireless USB card (belkin play) to pick up the internet.

Does anyone have a resolution?
