    Well I just have not had one in a very long,long time! When Match mentioned them I went searching, as I remember they were darn gooooood.
    Well I gotta have one. Went to 6 stores in this little town---none to be found--- eeek. I will not give up. Next time I go to a larger city, I will continue my search, Unless Match chimes in and tells me that they no longer have them in the USA.-----------------gunnner ;)

    that will be the day the music died ;) and I loose all faith in humanity

    USA.Mars.com - Mars

    Apparantly they are an American invention and called Milky Way's in the USA.

    damn you, that means that you invented Coke a Cola and Mars Bars, it would seem that while we were inventing useful stuff you were making the nice stuff ;)

    This is the Mars candy bar I remember------v

    . Mars Bar ad from the 1950s.

    And I guess they changed it to this----
    Snickers Almond (Mars Bar)

    .
    The Mars Bar has a new name... Snickers Almond Bar. Roasted almonds, nougat, caramel and milk chocolate in a 1.76 oz candy bar.
    I JUST CAN'T KEEP UP :eek:----NO WONDER I COULDN'T FIND THE !#&@!*#!* THING

    BUT I GUESS I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE----------

    "We haven't had any for a while because until I checked your great site, I didn't know they were being called Snickers with Almonds. I will pass it on to my sister who is 5 years younger. When she hears that we can get them, she will be one happy camper. ~Greg from Kentucky" http://www.oldtimecandy.com/mars-bar.htm

    A Milky Way in the UK and Ireland is much like a 3 Musketeers but not as chocolaty. As for the Deep Fried Mars Bar, I tried one on a trip to Glasgow at a local chippy.

    Surprisingly it is every bit as vile as it sounds.:D

    Did it taste 'fishy' by any chance (from the fish and chip shop grease), I wonder? Yuck pooey!! But at least you tried it, BeeCeeBee!

    Wonder why they changed the name from 'Mars' to 'Snickers'? Mars would surely have one think of an 'out of this world experience' versus a horse 'snickering' all over a candy bar. :)

    Mars Bars, are very popular here in OZ.
    Their ADD goes "A Mars a Day helps you Work, Rest and Play"

    I don't like Boiled Sweets. Real Teeth breakers.:)

    Confused

    Snickers = Mars with peanuts
    Mars = Snickers without peanuts

    here they haven't changed any names, they are two different things

    so in Canada you have Snickers without Peanuts, that's just not right sorry.

    :nope:

    'Mars' isn't the same as 'Snickers', after all?! Geesh, wouldn't it have been easier for the consumer if they simply labeled one 'Mars' and the other 'Mars with nuts' :yikes:. Poor Santa trying to keep all this straight!! :)

    Just about every Image, and Portrait, is Photoshopped in some way.
    Probably one take repeated,but got the desired affect.

    That one may be edited (it's so hard to tell with things now), but our kitten did that over and over again - and loved to put a paw on either side of your face while giving a quick lick on the nose. Aah, wouldn't it be lovely if kittens (and puppies and kids) could somehow stay small - gentle smile.
