Freezes

    Lately if I have a few windows my computer freezes. I tested the memory card
    and it passed. Any ideas why?

    Use System Resource Meter (RSRCMTR.EXE) to check whether you are
    running out of resources.

    You can install it by going to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs ->
    Windows Setup -> System Tools -> Details -> System Resource Meter.

    You may find that some programs are resource hogs. For example, Foxit
    Reader usually crashes my machine.

    You should also check whether the machine is crashing because of heat
    related issues. These will manifest themselves when the CPU is working
    hard. Is the CPU fan OK? PSU fan? Graphics card?

    The power supply voltages may also droop when the system is under
    load. You could also have bad capacitors in the power supply for the
    CPU on the motherboard. That would show up under load, too.
