hey whats up guys, im new to this site cause im trying to figure out this problem i have,i apologize if this is the wrong place for this thread.

so i just got back into world of warcraft cause some buddies asked me to play. i played thursday night everything was just fine. friday night came along and i got home, got on my computer and played wow for about an hour. as i continued to play my game froze for like 15 seconds than a blue screen arose. so i restarted the computer and it was just fine, hopped back in game and 5 minutes later it did it again. however, this time when i restarted the bios screen was all pixilated that was followed by a black screen with exclamation points. After that it asks you if you want to start windows normally because it shut down unexpectedly, ill hit yes and it will show the windows 7 icon. It will appear that its about to boot the desktop but it doesn't, it just sits on a black screen.

so any feed back would be great, i just wanna get my computer back and running, i was thinking maybe i just need to do a full reformat? idk.

thanks in advance, heres pics of what it looks like.

Hi Christopher. Welcome to Computer Help Forums.
Will the system boot now? if so let's check the temps first

Download free "Speccy" and monitor the temps up until it freezes.

Also are your Graphics Card updates up to date?

Obviously you cannot download speccy if windows does not load but I would give it some time to cool down and see if that gets windows to load.

Otherwise try tapping on F8 when you turn on the machine and keep tapping. Hopefully that will get the advanced boot options screen to load. If you can there are a number of things you can do. If you do get a blue screen try to get the error number. There is an option to disable auto restart in the advanced boot options screen which will keep the blue screen showing. That should always be selected but if you can't get there then that horse has left the barn.

Are you comfortable opening the case and working with the components?

OK well thenlets get down to basics. I am assuming that you cannot get into the advanced boot options screen usnig the f8 key is that correct?

If so how much RAM (Memory) do you have and how many ram sticks? Also is your graphics card an add on or is it integrated into the motherboard?

One more question. I saw your post do you have more than one VGA connection (monitor) on the computer. If so try switching the monitor to the other connection and removing the Gforce card. If there is no separate connection then your Motherboard does not contain onboard graphics.

Do you have a spare video card you can try because it looks as if your card is faulty.

OK that is from the bios and not the Advanced boot options but Allheart's suggestion about the video card is probably worth pursuing. She is a Senior Tech Specialist and is usually right. :)

Just to be sure, you have tried the F8 key and got nothing?? You need to do it as it is starting and before it tries to boot to windows.

It appears to be a bit of a chicken and egg situation. It seems to be hardware but is the graphics card causing something else to fail or vice versa. How many RAM sticks are installed. Some trial and error with the RAM may be an answer. We would need to know how many sticks and what the size is on each. I see you have 4 gigs but how many sticks make up the total?
